The City of the Gold Coast hosted the 2018 Commonwealth Games in April. It was the biggest international sporting event staged in Australia in the past decade and the largest ever hosted by the Gold Coast. It is home to some of the best sporting facilities in the world and the Pan Pacific Masters Games participants will have the opportunity to experience them first-hand.

With expected record numbers of athletes and visitors converging on the coast, a huge 8-day entertainment program is planned. The Games Village and Broadbeach – Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre will be the hubs for participants and visitors to celebrate with teammates, family and friends. The entertainment line-up is very impressive. Check it out here!

New Gold Coast Finds

I am always on the lookout for new places to discover and recommend. Little Mermaid is a relaxing, family friendly café on the corner of Sunbrite Avenue and the Gold Coast H’Way. Its location is perfect and only 300 metres from the beach. Other top place is Alfred’s Diner at Mermaid Beach. Local cafes along the beautiful Gold Coast are a dime a dozen but Little Mermaid and Alfred’s Diner are two of the special cafes that I recommend you check out.
