It will take you less than 5 minutes to reach the town centre and the walk is situated along the flat roadside of the main road through Jindabyne. It is also only a half-hour drive from both Thredbo and Perisher resorts along Alpine Way if you are interested in making it a ski holiday too! No one will be left hungry with these hearty meals.

During the middle of winter, between June and August, you will also find live entertainment in the main bar making it just that little bit more appealing. No need to brave the cold to find something to do for the night, Lake Jindabyne Hotel has you covered! The prices are extremely reasonable for what you get at this hotel. It has been known for quite some time as one of the more affordable hotels and for this reason and many more it is extremely popular in the busy winter months.

Rydges Horizons Snowy Mountains Hotel and Lake Jindabyne

Rydges Horizon Snowy Mountains

Nearby to the town of Jindabyne, you will find Rydges Horizon Snowy Mountains, a hotel which is part of the Australian owned and operated, Rydges Hotel and Resorts chain. They do not disappoint! The location is just as central, also is situated alongside the stunning lake and close enough the best ski resorts in the area. Ideally located just a short walk to town and 45-minutes’ drive to both of the most well-known ski resorts up the mountain. Each room comes with a balcony or patio that looks out over the breathtaking scenery. So, whether it is during daylight or deep into the chilly nights, you are surrounded by natures beauty.

Snowy Valley Resort

When you are thinking of spectacular views of Lake Jindabyne, there is no other place for you than the Snowy Valley Resort. With an on-site ski hire store and just a 5km drive from the main ski resorts of the area, it is the perfect place to relax and take in your surroundings during your stay.

It has access to free parking and various facilities that put it a step above other accommodation in Jindabyne. With an indoor heated pool, you can enjoy a well-deserved swim any time of the year. Or, during the colder season, there is an outdoor hot tub and sauna available for your use too! There is also an onsite bar to enjoy a few drinks with friends after a long day of skiing and a billiards table as well.

Each room has access to fresh linen and towels so no need to pack them for yourself and rooms are fitted with a heating system, which is much needed over winter especially. The only drawback for some in this accommodation is the shared bathroom facilities which are used for most of the rooms. If you are used to backpacking or hostel accommodation this will not phase you in the slightest and this may be why Snowy Valley Resort is so reasonably priced.

If you must have your own bathroom then get in early and book the family room which has a private bathroom and three bunk beds. Finally, last on our list is the very well-known Banjo Paterson Inn. Do you like a good meal and a refreshing beer at the end of a long day out and about? If the answer is yes, then this may be just the place for you! The rooms are available at a great price and you are just around the corner from the centre of town. It does not have the lakeside views that most other places do, but it has something that may be even better, a brewery just downstairs! Home to the Kosciuszko Pale Ale, you can take a look at where the delicious ale originates. You also have access to two different bars on site and a restaurant too. It serves delicious pub style meals, which are both enjoyable and hearty so you will not be left hungry at the end of the night.

During winter especially, this location is in high demand and can book out quickly during peak times, between June and August each year. Each room does not have a full kitchen, but does have tea and coffee making facilities, a bar fridge and much needed heating. Some of the higher priced rooms also have balconies or spa baths if you are up for something a little more special. For something to do during your stay, the Banjo Paterson Inn also offers live music on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.
