Frequently Asked Questions
Who is ‘Progressive Traveller’?
Hello! My name is Donna. I’m Australian – born and bred. I’ve always enjoyed reading and listening to other people’s travel stories. When I started travelling more extensively, my family and friends were keen to keep up with my travels and escapades, so I decided to create a blog.
Why did you create a travel website?
It’s a place where my travels live on forever and hopefully my grandchildren (if I ever get any) will learn more about their Grandmother’s blessed life. Travel blogging enables me to stay connected with my family and friends, share the highlights of my travels, develop better photographic skills and is an outlet for my wanderlust nature.
For you, it’s an avenue to discover new travel destinations and be encouraged and inspired to visit places on your bucket list. You have access to tried and tested travel tips and informative reviews. My goal is to stimulate you to explore more and live life to the full. Travelling has changed many things in my life and I know it can change many things in your life too.
How old are you?
How can you afford to travel so much?
Blogging is my full-time job. I spend a great deal of my time in front of a computer. Writing a blog is more involved than you can ever imagine! My role involves working with travel businesses to promote destinations, hotels, resorts, travel gear including what luggage to take and what to put in it.
Where is your favourite destination?
Who takes your photos?
My preference is to capture the people in the places I am staying and visiting. Some businesses provide their own professional images for me to use.
