Architecture of Yesteryear

Among the Fredericksburg store’s grand architecture is a hand-crank platform elevator that was used in the late 1800’s in an old cotton mill. The columns and beams that support this structure were hand hewed by farmers and Amish craftsman over a hundred years ago. Clothing hangs on steel frames and shoes displayed on period furniture that are illuminated by nature light.

During my 3 night stay at Fredericksburg in the Texas Hill Wine Country, I stopped by Magnolia Pearl to check out the latest creations and meet the creative team behind the successful global brand. Magnolia Pearl’s presence from the highway is very alluring and welcoming. The stylish exterior is captivating and entices you in.

Whether you are a fashionista or not, a visit to Magnolia Pearl is a must. The site is a photographer’s dream with eclectic photogenic aspects of neutral textiles, vintage and recycle wares enhanced by dreamy lighting.

Magnolia Pearl Silo Theater

Prepare to be stunned by another architectural masterpiece tucked behind the Magnolia Pearl ranch. Using recycled, reclaimed materials, Robin and partner John Gray have built a music, theater and arts event building – ‘Magnolia Pearl Theater Silo. Like the name suggests, a grain silo forms a large portion of the overall design. The steel and wood silo incorporates a covered stage and performance space together with a working kitchen, green room, sleeping area and living room. Another great Fredericksburg asset for locals and visitors to utilise.
