Do you want to enjoy a few wines without having the worry of breaking the law! A 290 Bus Shuttle operates every Saturday from 10am – 6pm between Fredericksburg and the wineries located along highway 290 East. Air-conditioned buses and minivans leave every 10 minutes from opposite the Fredericksburg Visitors Centre. Pick Up Location All Day Pass – US$29.95. Private shuttles and Fredericksburg winery tours operate 7 days a week along the Western Route Winery Map and Eastern Route Winery Map.

Fredericksburg is a city with great festivals, parades, fireworks and public holiday events. 1. The Western Music Festival | 12-13 April 2019

The Western Music Festival event will be held at the famous Texas Fredericksburg Luckenbach venue. The inaugural event will see performances across two stages with Margo Price, Old 97’s, Jamestown Revival, Colter Wall, The Wild Feathers, Jesse Dayton, Jai Malano, and The Americans. An exclusive “Campfire Jam” will take place the evening before the main festival event. It will feature an acoustic song-swap performance with Bingham and Margo Price following a very special seated dinner prepared by legendary BBQ pitmaster Billy Durney of Brooklyn, NY’s famed Hometown Bar-B-Que. 2. Becker Vineyards Winery Lavender Fest | 4-5 May 2019

The annual Becker Vineyards event is a celebration of lavender! Lavender cooking demonstrations, lavender presentations, artisan vendors, lavender luncheons, live music, and wine tasting. Entry to the lavender fields Texas festival is complimentary, and parking is just $5.

3. The Hill Country Film Festival | 25-28 May 2019

The Hill Country Film Festival is a 4-day independent film festival held at Fritztown Cinema in the heart of the picturesque Hill Country Fredericksburg, Texas. The local movie theatre is fitted with high quality digital projection and sound making it the ideal location for the film festival.

4. 4th of July Fireworks Display | 04 July 2019

The City of Fredericksburg sponsors the annual fireworks display from the Golf Course area at Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park. The free public event is spectacular. Visitors are invited to bring their own chairs, food and beverages. The 15-20-minute fireworks displays begins at approximately 9:15pm.

5. Fredericksburg Food & Wine Fest | 26 October 2019

Fredericksburg Food & Wine Fest is held in October each year. This event is where you get to try the finest food, wine and beer in Texas. A place to kick back enjoy great live music and specialty foods and products produced in the region. Tickets to guest chef demonstrations and special dinner event are sold separately. The main event is US$25pp, minors (under 21) US$5 each.

 

Peaches Of Fredericksburg | Orchard Fresh

For the best ‘Pick Your Own’ peach picking and peach tasting experience, heads to Jensche Orchards located on Frederickburg Wine Road 290. 

Fredericksburg’s peach season commences from mid May through to the first week of August.
